PUMPKIN CIDER DOUGHNUT

1 bag Mamie’s Yeast Raised Doughnut Mix – open bag and add the following dry ingredients and set aside:

2 Tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

2 teaspoons Ground Ginger

2 teasppons Ground Cloves

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

3 packets (21g) INSTANT yeast


1 Tablespoon vanilla extract

1 2/3 cup pumpkin puree

17 fl. oz. apple cider or apple juice or a combination of both!


3 eggs

8 oz. shortening ( Crisco or commercial brand you are currently using)


Directions:

Combine the pumpkin puree and the cider in a microwave safe container. Microwave for 2-3 minutes. Add the vanilla to this container. Now, follow the directions on the bag of dry mix substituting the pumpkin/cider mixture for the plain water in the original recipe.
